An Odtaa Day

Odtaa with sad smilie
This morning I was on track to having a rare win against my computer. Then bloody Windows suddenly, without warning, closed my system down so it could automatically upgrade my magnificent Vista operating system. A great improvement on XP, which at least when it lost my work it as an accident.

A few hours later I spotted the upgrade warning icon. Saved everything and then clicked – come on. After 5 minutes thinking the system decided I did not need the same upgrades it has already installed. And Bill has has left Microsoft so I can’t complain to him.

Then as I’ve been having problems with my hosting – the hosting company moved all my domains to another server.

Some domains behaved a little weirdly, but with a little bit of work they seem OK.

Except one of my plugins went wrong and started generating post after post of junk. I had to delete the junk and have deleted the 1,200 word post that took me 4 hours to write. And yes I don’t have a copy.

Then my site tells me to update WordPress. This turns out to be incompatiable with my theme and the widget I took half a day to write has gone, gone, gone. Arghhh

And let’s not talk about my trying to put up my new tent in the garden. One hour trying to put the poles on the internal bit instead of the fly sheet.

And then of course I managed to try and set it up so I can’t pull out the guy ropes without destroying plants, flowers or climbing into the neighbour’s garden. Odtaa with sad smilie
